House 35 is a project to renovate a riverside villa in Saigon. The existing structure comprises four floors and an attic, featuring an extensive garden area bordering the Saigon River but with very limited connectivity to the landscape. The core structural framework is largely retained, with minor adjustments to column positions to align with the design concept: enhancing the connection to the natural landscape.

Prominent spaces such as the common living area and the swimming pool are located on the second floor, expanding and elevating the views of the garden landscape and the river. The garden is reshaped with sloping terrain, forming gradual hillsdes towards the riverbank, enhancing the connection between domestic and natural spaces.
Walls facing west and southwest are replaced with a double-skin facade system consisting of glass walls and rotating wooden louvers to expand views while mitigating west-facing sunlight and glare from the river surface.

The ground floor area is utilized for auxiliary functions such as parking, accommodation for housekeeper and drivers, kitchen, and storage. Private quarters such as bedrooms and functional spaces occupy the uppermost floors and attic, oriented to optimize river views for the bedrooms.
